ThermoFin Heat Transfer Plates
ThermoFin is a rigid, extruded aluminum plate designed to facilitate heat transfer in radiant floors. Cross-linked polyethylene (PEX) tubing is held securely in the patented snap channel, without additional fasteners. This tight fit eliminates expansion noises and provides excellent heat transfer.
ThermoFin plates are available in two configurations. All plates are sold in boxes of 20 pieces.
ThermoFin U
ThermoFin U is intended for installation above the subfloor, with the snap channel facing down. 3/4" thick plywood sleepers are placed over the fin between the channels to provide a solid nailing surface for installing the finished floor materials.
Dimensions:
4" wide, 0.050" thick plates. Available in 4 foot or 8 foot lengths, for 1/2" nominal diameter PEX tubing.
ThermoFin C
ThermoFin C is designed for use in the joist space beneath the subfloor.
Dimensions:
4" wide, 0.065" thick plates. Available in 4 foot or 8 foot lengths, for 3/8" or 1/2" nominal diameter PEX tubing.
ThinFin C
ThinFin C is a lighter version of ThermoFin C.
Dimensions:
3.5" wide, 0.050" thick plates. Available in 4 foot or 8 foot lengths, for 3/8" or 1/2" nominal diameter PEX tubing.
